First of all, I much commend Bookmypooja for speed and quality of service. I was initially sceptical about booking the naamkaran sanskar pooja from a panditji online - whether I should rely on someone I had not met, whether the panditji… More would be able to perform the puja as per our Marwari traditions, whether the panditji would be knowledgeable and give sufficient time for the puja. Bookmypooja exceeded my expectations on all aspects.
The process of booking the pooja was very simple and the pooja vidhi was explained quite well on the website. I got a Panditji assigned within 24h along with phone number to address my questions. The panditji patiently explained that puja would be performed as per Vedic tradition and we can do any additional rituals as per our culture. I got the list of items to prepare for the puja about a week in advance. I felt a few things were missing in the list like paan patta, supari, but later found that the panditji was carrying these things with him. He was also very careful with the newborn baby during the puja, applying organic chandan only and very considerate about the baby's needs from time to time. The puja was performed, explaining every ritual and with some humour added in between. Really appreciate the attention to detail by bookmypooja team and feedback call received next day.
