Decide on the Griha Pravesh Date
It is ideal to enter the house on the auspicious day. The day can be as laid out on Indian religious calendar, or Pandit Ji can find an ausipicious muhurat on any other day as well. In Hindu mythology, the optimum times to perform the griha pravesh pooja and enter the house are during the months of Mah, Phalgun, Vaishakh, and Jyeshtha. It is not recommended to do griha pravesh during the months of Ashwin, Ashadha, Shravan, Bhadrapada, and Paush
Ensure your house is ready to move in ( Completed Construction )
Griha pravesh puja should not be performed until all building has been completed, according to traditional Hindu belief. Remember this when moving into a new house and doing the Griha Pravesh ritual.
Moving into your new house while building is still going on is a bad idea. Don’t move in until everything is finished. It is the beginning of a new chapter in one’s life, a new home that has been completed in every way. Make sure all the woodwork, fittings, paint, etc., have been completed before moving on to the next step. With all of the fixtures, windows, and doors installed, as well as all of the painting work completed, the house must be ready to move into
