- Saturdays, Ekadashi, and Poornima(full moon day) along with the months of Kartik and Baishakh are considered auspicious.
- Predominantly done during the evening time however morning is also suitable to perform this puja.

- On puja day, devotees have to observe fasting until the puja is over. The purpose of fasting is to ensure that no negative thoughts or desires come to mind before, during, or after the puja.
