Individuals are encouraged to perform the Griha Pravesh Puja at least once in their lifetime. After the wedding ceremony, it is the second most significant occasion in a person’s life. At Griha Pravesh, celebrations are also held for both Lord Ganesha and Vastu, as well as a housewarming reception for newlyweds.
An elaborate party is held to celebrate the occasion with loved ones. Consult a Hindu Priest to determine the date of the Griha Pravesh ceremony. Several objects are required for the Griha Pravesh Puja. Griha Pravesh Puja Samagri List is what I’m going to give you here. Samagri for Griha Pravesh
- 2-piece set of coconut
- Areca nut (Supari) – 11 pieces per pack.
- 10 grammes of cloves
- 10 grammes of Green Cardamom
- 7 pieces of betel leaves
- 1 Packet of Roli or Kumkum
- One bundle of Upanayana or Janeu [7]
- One hundred grammes of uncooked milk, one hundred grammes of curd yoghurt, one kilogramme of Desi Ghee
- 250 grammes each of honey and jaggery
- 1.25 kg of whole grain rice
- Dry fruit mixture Panch Meva – 250 grammes
- All five varieties of candy in 500 grammes
- Seasonal fruits of five varieties – as requested
- Flowers and garlands of flowers One package each of 5 Dhup Batti and 1 stick of incense
- Hawan Samagri (incense burner) – 1 pound
- 250 gramme of barley (grains)
- A pound of black sesame seeds
- 1 pc. large earthen Diya
- Brass 1 Cotton – 1 package of Kalasha
- One metre of yellow cloth.
- 1.25 metres of red cloth
- 11 pieces of camphor
- Ashoka or Mango, which do you prefer? Eleven leaves on a tree
- 2 kg of mango wood powder
- a 100 gramme serving of turmeric
- Drinking water: 1 litre of Ganga Jal
- One piece of low-height wooden table (Chauki) – It weighs 1.25 pounds.
Important things to keep in mind
- Never perform any Puja with broken rice.
- Almonds, Dry Dates, Raisins, Makhanas (Fox Nuts), and Cashew Nuts should all be included in the Panch Meva.
- If you want to make a Panch Mithai, you should mix together Bundi Laddu, Milk Cake, Besan Laddo, Coconut Barfi, and Kalakand or any other five dry sweets.
- Banana, pomegranate, and any three seasonal fruits should be included in the Panch Fruits combo.
- Ghee and Jaggery can be mixed with Atta to form a dry Prasad. It’s also known as Kashar or Mahabhog, depending on who you ask.
